CREW RESOURCE MANAGEMENT (CRM)

Research has shown that medical errors largely stem from Human Factors. Crew Resource Management (CRM), which originated from the airline industry, has been a pivotal tool in reducing human errors in clinical settings.

The CRM course guides participants through teamwork principles in healthcare, and uses simulation and debriefing to promote experiential learning.

EFFECTIVE MANAGEMENT OF ANAESTHETIC CRISES (EMAC)

The simulation-based Effective Management of Anaesthetic Crises (EMAC) course provides training in the management of anaesthetic emergencies.

It consists of five modules run over two and a half days covering topics such as airway management, human performance, cardiovascular emergencies, anaesthetic emergencies and trauma management.

ADVANCED & DIFFICULT AIRWAY MANAGEMENT FOR ANAESTHETISTS (ADAM-A)

Adult, paediatric airway management skills (including lung isolation skills) for anaesthetists are taught through wet lab, simulation, practical stations and interactive discussion.

REGISTER NOW!

ADVANCED & DIFFICULT AIRWAY MANAGEMENT FOR DOCTORS (ADAM-D)

Target at frontline doctors (AED, ICU, Medicine, Paediatrics, ENT, surgery, anaesthesia), the course aims to teach survival airway skills as well as airway crisis management through simulation and discussion sessions.

EXPOSURE TO ANAESTHETIC SAFETY & EMERGENCIES (EASE)

Give novice anaesthetic trainees an early exposure to common critical anaesthetic events in a state-of-the-art simulated environment and equip trainees with basic skills for safe practice of anaesthesia.

REGISTER NOW!

BASIC ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY FOR ANAESTHESIOLOGISTS (ECHO-A)

To introduce anaesthetists the applications of focused transthoracic echocardiography (FTTE) during perioperative period. To provide basic knowledge and skills training of FTTE by pre- workshop study, didactic lectures, hands on practice on live models & case interpretation exercises.

TRANSFORMING INTERACTIONS WITH PATIENTS AND STAFF (TIPS)

Communication skills play a vital role in the Anaesthesia profession -- from preoperative, intraoperative and postoperative patient interaction; to interprofessional teams communication in the perioperative setting.

The course focuses on communication theories, and uses simulation to highlight the key concepts.

REGISTER NOW!

Ultrasound-Guided Regional Anaesthesia Workshop (UGRA-E)

The goal of this workshop is to impart an understanding of ultrasound imaging for regional anaesthesia to anaesthetic trainees.

They will learn about the physical principles of ultrasound use, the anatomical basis of commonly performed truck, upper limb and lower limb nerve blocks as well as obtain updates on clinical application of UGRA via interactive lectures & skill stations.
